Payments
Accept cards, bank payments, and local methods
Accept cards, bank payments, and supported local methods through the API, hosted checkout, or a payment link. The amount is fixed before the buyer pays.

Track every payment from attempt to payout
Attempts, refunds, and disputes stay linked to the sale, so you can follow a payment from the first attempt through the payout.
API, checkout, and payment links
Call the API from your own page, send buyers to the hosted checkout, or share a payment link.
Full and partial refunds
Refund all of a payment or part of it. The transaction records how much remains refundable.
Dispute notifications
Receive a webhook when a buyer disputes a charge. Track each dispute stage in the payment record.
Idempotent requests
Use an idempotency key to retry a create request without creating a duplicate record.
Signed webhooks
Your server receives an event for every payment, refund, and failure. Each event carries a signature you can verify.
Transaction and payout currencies
Price a transaction in the buyer’s currency. Choose euro, US dollar, or pound sterling for payouts.
How it fits together
One sales record across payment attempts
The transaction fixes what the buyer owes. Payment attempts, including declines and retries, remain linked to it without changing that amount.
- The amount is fixed before the first attempt
- Every attempt is stored with its result
- Refunds and disputes stay attached to the payment they belong to

Questions, answered
How do buyers pay?
By card, bank payment, or a local method such as UPI. They pay through your own integration, the hosted checkout page, or a payment link.
Who is responsible for tax with Payments?
With Payments, you remain the seller and handle your own tax and invoicing. Use the merchant of record model to have Merxian take on that work.
What happens if my request times out?
Retry the request with the same idempotency key. Merxian returns the result of the original request rather than creating another record.
